Scouting Grayslake North at Woodstock North

Grayslake North (3-6) at Woodstock North (0-9)

When: 7:15 p.m., today

Story Continues Below

Last season: Grayslake North def. Woodstock North, 22-6.

Outlook: Grayslake North can relate to Woodstock North's growing pains. Just five years ago, the Knights opened their school doors for the first time and played their inaugural season without seniors. That's what Woodstock North did last season in an 0-9 campaign. This will be the Thunder's first season with a full roster, including seniors. "I hear their numbers are good," Grayslake North coach Steve Wood said of Woodstock North. "And I think they've made some changed to their offense to look more like (perennial power) Cary-Grove."-Running back Nate Meyer will be a focus of the Thunder's offense while Grayslake North will rely heavily on Andrew Soulis, a junior running back who gained more than 800 yards last year as a sophomore.
