Outlook: Maine West is 2-0 for the first time in 10 years. But it will take even a better effort for the Warriors to get to 3-0 as they face a New Trier team that many feel will unseat Maine South in the CSL South. Still, this looks to be a Maine West squad that does not retreat. The Warriors have allowed just 1 touchdown in their first two games while their offense has been on a roll. Led by quarterback Jake Riportella, the Warriors have scored 65 points in their first 2 games. They did not surpass that mark until the fifth game last season.
