Riportella, Robinson lead Maine West into game with Glenbrook South

Maine West (2-1) at Glenbrook South (1-2)

When: Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Last year: Did not play

Outlook: Maine West nearly pulled off a stunner last week against New Trier. The Warriors led at the half, but gave up 3 second-half TDs to fall 29-14 for their first loss of the season. But optimism is still high in Des Plaines as the Warriors take on a Glenbrook South team that won its first game of the season last week against Highland Park. Maine West has relied on a 1-2 punch in the running attack behind quarterback Jake Riportella, who has gained 263 yards and Marteen Robinson, who has rushed for 220 yards and has averaged 6.3 yards per carry.
