Takeaways from Friday night football

1. Welcome to Week 10

Four teams picked up their sixth win of the season to join Glenbard West and Montini as playoff clinchers. Naperville Central, Neuqua Valley, Hinsdale Central and IC Catholic all entered Friday 5-1 and came away winners.

2. Eligibility rolls

Waubonsie Valley, Benet, Hinsdale South, Glenbard North, Glenbard South and Lisle each won their fifth game of the season, making them eligible for the playoffs. They can clinch a playoff spot by winning at least one of their remaining two games.

3. Doing the math

Glenbard South junior running back Sean Cooke ran for 5 touchdowns and 252 yards in Friday's win against ACC. That gives him 12 TDs and 566 yards rushing in his last two games.
