Tuesday Morning Quarterback

Name: Isaac Velasco School: Naperville North

Year: Senior

Grunt bona fides: Interior defensive lineman for the Huskies. Frees others to make the tackles by taking on multiple blockers.

What makes you a "grunt" type of player: I'm always taking on double-teams and opening holes for our linebackers.

Don't tell my coach that: I didn't get to that hole and missed my assignment.

If I could change one thing about football: I'd like to see linemen get more credit for what they do. We're doing all the dirty work out there.

Team not on our schedule I wish we could play: Montini would be cool to play.

How I'll celebrate if I score a TD: I don't think I'd celebrate. I'd just go crazy with my teammates.

Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat: Twitter. I use it the most to learn about other teams and players.

What I like best about my school: The tradition and how it's a family. We're like brothers on the team.

Something about me that would surprise you: People say linemen aren't smart, but I think I do pretty well in school.

Other sports I play: I played baseball until after my sophomore year when I got hurt. I miss it. I always liked playing baseball.

Favorite actor: Matt Damon. I just think he plays a lot of good roles.

Favorite actress: Jennifer Aniston. She's pretty.

Favorite athlete: For baseball it'd be (Cubs first baseman) Anthony Rizzo. It'd be (Miami Dolphins defensive lineman) Ndamukong Suh for football.

Favorite musician: Eminem. I really like his older music. He's a good rapper.

The stat

In two victories over state-ranked opponents, IC Catholic Prep senior running back Jordan Rowell, committed to Northern Illinois University, has piled up 467 rushing yards and 125 receiving yards - an average of 296 total yards a game - while scoring 9 touchdowns.

The tweet

"It's time to make a statement and establish a legacy."

- Lake Park senior defensive lineman Jacub Panasiuk
