Stevenson, Carmel will try again Sunday

Heavy rains postponed Saturday's scheduled football game between Stevenson and Waukegan at Weiss Field in Waukegan.

The North Suburban Conference game will be made up at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Stevenson.

If Stevenson beats Waukegan (0-7, 0-5), it will clinch a playoff berth for the 29th year in a row. The Patriots (5-2, 4-1) will then need a victory at home against Warren next Friday and a Lake Zurich loss at Mundelein the same night to earn a share of the NSC championship.

Carmel vs. St. Patrick: Saturday night's scheduled East Suburban Catholic Conference game at Triton College was postponed due to inclement weather.

The game will be made up at 2 p.m. Sunday. Carmel (0-7, 0-5) is seeking its first win of the season. St. Patrick is 2-5 and 2-3 in the ESCC.
