Burlington Central handles Harvard

Matt Ganziano scored three touchdowns and Layn Reynolds intercepted a pair of passes leading Burlington Central to a 25-13 win over Harvard Saturday night to complete a game that started Friday night.

The game resumed with 3:44 left in the first quarter tied 6-6 after storms forced the postponement Friday night.

The Rockets (2-5, 2-3 in the Kishwaukee River Conference) were led in receiving yards by Kyle Moring. Sam Kang forced a fumble.

"We played really well, Matt Ganziano ran the ball really well," said Burlington Central coach, adding a thank you to the Burlington Central students who showed up to support the team.

"Our student section came out tonight in full force. It shows the type of community we have."

Reynolds now has 7 interceptions on the year.

Harvard (2-5, 1-3) scored its only touchdown Saturday late in the game.

Nick Termini also found the end zone for the Rockets with a 21-yard touchdown Friday.

Burlington Central closes the season on the road the last two weeks at Marengo and Westmont.
