District 95 to hold first board meeting since hazing investigation

Lake Zurich Unit District 95 board members will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16 -- the first session since it became publicly known the high school's football team is the subject of a police investigation. The public meeting will be in Lake Zurich High School's library, 300 Church St. Village police said they have been probing reportedly inappropriate behavior in a school football locker room days before a Nov. 5 state playoff game against Fenwick High School. Authorities said they began the investigation after the Daily Herald reported football players were ordered to sign a student behavior agreement before the Fenwick game or be prohibited from playing the rest of the 2016 season. District 95 also has been conducting an internal investigation.
