Fox Valley area weather postponements and rescheduled events

Saturday's stormy weather caused the postponement of several Fox Valley area high school sports events, most notably the nonconference football showdown between No. 9 Cary-Grove and No. 13 South Elgin, which was scheduled to be played at South Elgin.

That game will now be played at 1 p.m. Sunday at Millennium Field in Streamwood. The Trojans are 5-2 coming in while South Elgin is 6-1.

Other Saturday events postponed and rescheduled were:

•The Upstate Eight Conference boys and girls cross country meets. They will be run at 2 p.m. Monday at Kress Creek Farms in West Chicago.

•The Class 1A Genoa-Kingston boys soccer regional final between St. Edward and Johnsburg. The game will be played Monday at 4:15 p.m.

•The Class 1A Aurora Central Catholic boys soccer regional final between ACC and Harvest Christian. The game will be played Monday at 4:30 p.m.

•The Class 3A West Chicago regional boys soccer play-in game between Bartlett and Glenbard North. The game will be played Monday at 4 p.m. at Glenbard North.
