Benet, WW South, Glenbard West win

Benet 28, Moline 14:

Moline pulled within 21-14 in the fourth quarter, but Mike Wymer closed out the road victory for Benet (2-0) with a 79-yard touchdown run.


The Redwings built a 21-0 lead. Colin Gillespie threw a touchdown pass to Jack Cooney and scored on a keeper. Ben Hickey made it a 14-0 lead with a 13-yard scoring run.

WW South 42, Lockport 0:

Jake Arthurs rushed for 156 yards and touchdown runs of 47, 6 and 3 yards for the host Tigers. Quarterback Noah Henkel added 128 passing yards including scoring strikes of 27 and 75 yards. Cedric Rowzee and Jason Haw had the touchdown receptions. The Tigers' defense snared 5 interceptions and Jack Olsen kicked 2 field goals to give him 10 on the season.

Glenbard West 42, Proviso East 0:

The Hilltoppers (1-1) rolled to a storm-shortened victory in Maywood.

Tyquan Cox scored on touchdown runs of 55 yards and 1 yard, added a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown, and caught a 54-yard touchdown pass from Jarred Park. Park also threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Denin Limouris.

Jayden Rodgers closed the scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run.
