Tuesday Morning Quarterback
Name: Zach Zikuda
Best thing about being an offensive lineman: I like joking with the running backs that "this long run is because of me." That's my favorite part, is just joking around with the team.
Worst thing about being an offensive lineman: Probably the physicality of it. I mean, I really do enjoy it, but sometimes the next day is not always the best.
Don't tell my coach that: Most of the time with us it's don't tell the coach that we mess up with (pass) protection.
If I could change one thing about football: Probably the length of our quarters in high school because you get that one drive that's going and you run out of time. A little more game time; you only get so many snaps, I'd like to get a couple more.
Team not on our schedule I wish we could play: Westmont. Last year they kind of poked a wounded team when we played them. We were just kind of out of players and our mindset at that point in our season.
How I'll celebrate if I score a TD: Coach (Paul Parpet Sr.) says always be classy, so I'd probably give the ball back and go celebrate with the team rather than be a big showboat about it.
Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat: I definitely use Instagram the most. More variety of things I follow personally.
What I like best about my school: All the teachers know you so you really get that personal relationship with the teachers. Especially if you like the class or the teacher you have the option to get that teacher again next year.
Something about me that would surprise you: I'm a big cat person. When I was little my mom would call me the "Cat Whisperer."
Other sports I play: I used to play baseball but that ended my sophomore year. Charlie (Waldusky), one of the other guys on football, convinced me to go out for wrestling.
Favorite actor: Will Ferrell. I've seen most of his movies, and he can get a real good laugh out of you, but he's also made serious films that can make you believe he's in acting not just to be funny.
Favorite actress: Mila Kunis. Mostly because of her role in "That '70s Show."
Favorite athlete: He's retired now, but it's (Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback) Peyton Manning.
Favorite musician: Zac Brown Band. And not just because of the name.
Five DuPage County teams enter Week 9 with 4-4 records and need to win to gain playoff eligibility: Downers Grove North, Downers Grove South, Fenton, Glenbard South and Wheaton North.
"BIG WIN against a competitive rival!! Just thankful that I can continue to play healthy every week!"
-- Wheaton Academy senior receiver-defensive back Gerald Blackmon after the Warriors' 24-3 win over Riverside-Brookfield to clinch playoff eligibility.
