Grant gets win No. 1 against North Chicago

Grant football coach Vito Andriola was smiling from ear to ear as his Bulldogs celebrated their first victory of the season.

Behind 4 touchdowns from Jeremy Bredwood, Grant defeated host North Chicago 63-24 in a North Suburban Prairie Division game Friday night.

“It's nice to finally win one,” said Andriola, whose Bulldogs improved to 1-3 and 1-1 in the division. “We had played three real good teams, but we didn't show any defense in the first three games of the season. We're going to get better. This is this is a year of transition”

Grant sophomore quarterback Julius Moran scored 3 touchdowns.

“We had a great game,” Moran said. We had our ups and downs and a few fumbles, but throughout the game we just sucked it up.”

Grant led 13-0 after one quarter and was up 35-12 at halftime. The Bulldogs were up 49-24 after three.
