Jacobs going for first 3-0 start since 2011

The quick hit: Both teams run spread offenses run by junior quarterbacks. The Rocks won their opener at Alton by 24 points but lost their home opener to Edwardsville by 20. The Golden Eagles seek their first 3-0 start since 2011, when they opened the season 6-0. "We have to come out ready to play, but we're excited for the opportunity to go 3-0," Jacobs coach Bill Mitz said.
