Glenbard West, Hinsdale Central will pick up with fourth-down play

Glenbard West's football team has an interesting decision to make Saturday morning.

Friday's West Suburban Silver showdown at Hinsdale Central was suspended due to inclement weather with 10 minutes, 24 seconds left in the third quarter. The Hilltoppers, leading 14-0, were about to go for it on fourth-and-1 at their own 29-yard line.

Play will resume at 9 a.m. Saturday at Hinsdale Central.

The teams traded punts throughout a scoreless first quarter. Glenbard West (5-1, 3-0) capped a 13-play, 80-yard drive early in the second quarter with a 1-yard touchdown dive by Tyquan Cox, who rushed for 86 yards before play stopped.

Hinsdale Central (5-1, 4-0) responded with a 12-play drive that ended on a missed field goal. Another 80-yard drive by the Hilltoppers culminated in a 2-yard scoring run by Nick Seifert on fourth-and-goal.
