Name: Hank Knez

School: Glenbard West

Year: Senior

Best thing about being an offensive lineman: I think the best thing is definitely getting to hit someone on every play and getting to be one of the most physical guys on the field.

Worst thing about being an offensive lineman: I think the worst thing is probably doing the hardest work and then getting none of the glory.

Don't tell my coach that: Coach (Chad) Hetlet and I have a pretty good relationship and I tell him a lot of stuff, so I don't know.

If I could change one thing about football: I would just say that football is going a little soft, and I want to see it physical again. Especially watching the NFL with the new rushing-the-passer rules, all that stuff.

Team not on our schedule I wish we could play: Either Lincoln-Way East or Oswego because I'd like to play one of the best teams in the state and then I'd like to get another shot at Oswego.

How I'll celebrate if I score a TD: At Glenbard West when our running backs score one of the O-linemen picks him up in the air, so I'd try to have Tyquan Cox pick me up in the air. (As a sophomore, Knez did score a touchdown playing tight end.)

Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat: I probably prefer Instagram. I just think it's the easiest, you don't have to read too much, you don't have to think too much while using it.

What I like best about my school: I love the tradition and the history our program has. I also really like the campus, I think it's really nice and very historic.

Something about me that would surprise you: That's another tough one. I think maybe one surprising thing is I'm a big outdoorsman, I like to hunt and fish with my dad (Steve).

Other sports I play: I play lacrosse.

Favorite actor: I don't know if I really have a favorite actor, to be honest. Maybe Will Ferrell, he's a funny guy, he's got some funny movies, like "Talladega Nights" and "Step Brothers."

Favorite actress: I don't know, to be honest. I'll just say Margot Robbie.

Favorite athlete: My favorite athlete might be (retired NFL linebacker) James Harrison. I love his workout videos and his work ethic. He does some crazy stuff.

Favorite musician: My favorite band is probably Van Halen, a good classic rock band, they've got some good songs.

The stat

Five is the number of teams that last weekend improved to 6-0 to clinch a playoff appearance: Glenbard East, IC Catholic Prep, Lisle, Montini and Willowbrook.
